DIY Heart Suncatchers: A Fun February Activity for Moms and Kids

DIY Heart Suncatchers: A Fun February Activity for Moms and Kids

Supplies:

  • Clear plastic sheets or clear plastic plates
  • Scissors
  • Markers or paint in various colors
  • Hole punch
  • Yarn or string
  • Beads (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the plastic sheets or plates into heart shapes. You can use a cookie cutter or freehand draw the hearts.
  2. Decorate the hearts using markers or paint. Encourage your kids to be creative and make each heart unique.
  3. Once the paint or markers have dried, use the hole punch to create two holes at the top of each heart.
  4. Cut a length of yarn or string and thread it through the two holes of the heart.
  5. You can add beads in between the hearts for an extra pop of color.
  6. Tie the ends of the string together to create a loop.
  7. Hang the suncatchers in a sunny window to enjoy the beautiful colors as the light shines through.
